We may criticize others and not be aware of it

Criticism can be subtle, and we might not even be aware of it as we are doing it.  We might make a joke about someone and not be aware of it as being a veiled criticism of the other.  The expression of our tone of our voice, facial mannerism, or body language may come across to another as criticism. Finally, we might make an unintentional remark and even though most people would not see it as being criticism another individual might be triggered by it because of past negative experiences in their own life that it reminds them of.  Communication and conflict resolution skills are often more complex than we might initially expect prior to entering a relationship.  That is because we are all human with a variety of individual experiences that influence our own emotions and our perceptions of others toward us.  It takes work, patience, and being able to forgive one another when one or the other feels wronged.  However, it is well worth the effort.  There is no relationship that is perfect, but each relationship can work with getting better and better.  https://www.emapdrschulz.com/services
